In support of promoting the new sites, expanded learning opportunities and our half- and full-day options, our communications team has put together a . So far, this toolkit includes:

Employee Health Fair on Wed. March 29th from 3-6 p.m. at Health Professions High School. Have fun learning! Blood pressure checks, information about employee wellness resources, smoothies, martial arts, yoga, prizes and more! See flyer for details.

Implementing the 69视频 School Wellness Policy
All Grades
With the return to in-person learning through the COVID pandemic, we have all learned the importance of addressing health and safety 鈥� including healthy eating and healthy activity. 69视频 passed the Wellness Board Policy 5030, which is an important tool for promoting student wellness, preventing and reducing childhood obesity, and assuring that school meal nutrition guidelines meet the minimum federal school meals standards.

Free Expository Reading and Writing Curriculum (ERWC) Training 鈥� March & April 2023
Middle, K-8, High School
The ERWC is aligned with the California Content Standards and emphasizes the in-depth study of expository, analytical and argumentative reading and writing.
Teachers who attend the workshop will receive materials, access to the ERWC online community where all 9th-12th modules are housed, and an opportunity to calibrate with peers regarding school-level expectations with college-level expectations.

Thriving Schools: Supporting Staff Well-Being webinar

Thriving Schools: Supporting Staff Well-Being webinar is March 14th from 11:00-noon PST. Thriving Schools provides resources, program support, strategies, and tools to develop teacher, staff and students well-being. Thriving Schools is collaborative initiative with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation and Kaiser Permanente.

Sacramento City Unified has expanded its transitional kindergarten to 33 locations for the 2023-2024 school year.

Health Services Update 鈥� February At-Home/OTC Covid Tests
All Grades
Starting this week, all school sites and departments will be getting another allocation of At-Home/OTC Covid test kits to distribute between February 8-10th.
Your assigned Health Aide will assist with these monthly distributions 鈥� connect and plan with them and other site-based staff who can support. Follow these steps below:
