SELPA Local Plan Assurances
There are currently 23 Federal and Local Assurances to which each SELPA and member Local Education Agency (LEA) must adhere. In approving the Local Plan, SELPA and each member LEA agrees that they will uphold each of these assurances, and they must cite the location of each corresponding local policy and procedure.
They read as follows:
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 20 United States Code (20 USC) Section 1400 et seq. and related federal regulations, require each special education local plan area (SELPA) to ensure a continuum of program options are available to meet the needs of students with disabilities for special education and related services.
MCAP Digital Academies available from September 2021 to鈥嬄燤ay 2022鈥�
The Multilingual California Project (MCaP) is offering FREE statewide asynchronous digital Canvas Academies in the areas of Biliteracy and English Learner support for teachers, para-educators and administrators. Our offerings currently include:
1) The Dual Language Teacher Academy
2) The WRITE Initiative
3) The Bilingual Teacher Pathway
4) Preschool GLAD 庐.: Alive, Aloud, and A Lot of Language
5) OCDE Project GLAD庐 en espa帽ol
6) Secondary GLAD庐: Shifting Practices in Secondary Classrooms
2021-2022 ELAC Parent Training Sessions
All ELAC Parent Training Sessions will be on Zoom (online virtually).
- Sessions 1 & 3: It will be conducted in English with interpreters available in Chinese, Hmong, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
- Sessions 2 & 4: It will be conducted in Spanish only.

Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Special Meeting

This meeting is being held in accordance with the Governor鈥檚 Executive Order 25-20, which modifies the Brown Act to support the statewide stay-at-home directives. For this general meeting, space is limited to 300 people. This meeting will be recorded.
