Implementation Grant Requirements

Implementation grants are for new community schools, or for the expansion or continuation of existing community schools. Implementation Grant funding ranges from $100,000-$500,000/year per school (depending on school enrollment) for 5 years for districts that already have community schools.

  • Fully staff community schools positions
  • Conduct and complete Comprehensive Needs & Strengths Assessment (Winter-Spring 22-23 SY) 
  • Establish/develop Community School Implementation Teams (CSIT)

Apply for Implementation Grant
Summer 2023

Cohort 1:
Annual Progress Report, Implementation Plan Update, Expenditure Report Due

 

Cohort 2: 
Grant Award Notification Letter Signed by Grantee and Received by the CDE
School Year 2023-24

Cohort 1 鈥� Year Two:

  • Implement programming to build on strengths & address identified needs
  • Increased coordination among school staff, expanded learning programs, CBOs, & parents / families
  • Increased voice of Collaborative members (families, students, staff, etc.) in school decisions
  • Increased school climate & school connectedness
  • Strengthened connection between school, home community results in improved student outcomes

Cohort 2 鈥� Year One:
